There was a high school girl dressed in black. None noticed that a smile she lacked. None noticed the scars on her arms. The ones on her wrists shaped like bars. She was pale and raven-haired. By no means was she a craven. Others were blind to her torments. She helped others with the speed of a torrent Noticed in them what they could not in her. That words stuck her like a burr. She helped others foremost and first. None noticed that stress made her fit to burst. Her parents were busy and uncaring. Unnoticed was her melancholy bearing. Her heart was filled with misery. Her mask filled with happiness was a quandary. Her clothes were threadbare and thin Bought primarily from the bargain bin Her good deeds were not for naught For out of gold her heart was wrought
There was a young-Child
Who wanted to please-Everyone
She wanted-Everyone to like her
Though she was-Unhappy and liked no one
Years later, the-Girl is a teenager
Who desires to dye her hair-Blue
And to dress all in-Black Symbolism
Despite the protests of her parents who she deems-Quacks
She discovers-Society is like a-Salem to those who want to be-Different
Their reputation is burned at the-Stake like-Jeanne
She dresses-Normally and leaves her hair-Undyed
But she is now-Unhappy all to please the strict headmaster called-Society
Thames
The Thames flows under London,
Its course altered by man.
Deep in the dark,
Where mysterious creatures crawl.
People live in the dark,
Utopian society no poverty.
They live in harmony,
Thames is their lifeblood.
Humblest building greater then,
Any Big Ben or Eiffel Tower!
Pallas was their patron,
Their God was nature!
Sunlight filtered through grates,
Tress hold up the cavern like Atlas.
Only take what they need,
Nothing more.
Thames polluted by industrial waste,
Fish died as surely as if they were fried.
Their society collapses,
Untold and copious lost!
Shared the same fate as Alexandria’s library,
Phidias&
Tiber
Tiber river there ere Rome,
They tried to alter river.
Uncontrollable was Tiber,
Outlasted empire.
Great monuments now are dust,
Caesars lie in their tombs.
Rome is dust, Tiber still flows strong,
Broke their dams with a boom.
Ruins now only home to cats,
Humans have been long gone.
The Human Race is now extinct,
Tiber still flows Strong.

Tis my first dance at Mount Saint Joe,
Very nervous was I.
Until I met a girl,
Calmed until she said bye.
Wearing her hockey uniform
Unkempt state certain lure.
Much in common did we have,
Taken by her allure.
Visions of cheering at her games
As we exchange numbers.
Reluctance it is time to go
Toward the door we lumber
Great friends could have been ere folly
Nervous and shy was I.
As we talked on the phone
Finality unaware bid bye
Texts sent there is no reply
Disheartened fast I grow
Months pass before I take advice
Aged better now I know
Advice I wish went unheeded
Deleted number next
Something I regret this to today
No reply onc

Regrets
Once I had friends and was happy, but jealousy, ignorance, mistakes, and madness was the down fall of it all, that turned my short lived happiness into the Devil’s home. Regrets and words that were better left unsaid are replayed in my head as if on a broken record. Rarely do I sleep, for even in my dreams I miss her and wake in tears. Reminders abound, the songs she liked, the pictures I see on social media, and the final texts I can’t delete. Attempts to remedy my mistakes with Loki’s tongue have only caused her to hate me evermore, and deepen my guilt. I try to move on and make friends with no luck. With each fai
